Phi Phi in December

December brings the dry season back: blue skies, calm seas and great snorkelling. The second half of the month, especially Christmas and New Year, is the busiest time of the year.

What the weather is like

Rainfall falls to about 80 mm, mostly early in the month. Highs are around 32 °C with pleasant evenings. The sea is calm and visibility improves day by day.

Christmas and New Year

From around 20 December to early January, Phi Phi is at capacity. Room rates double at many places and minimum stays are common. New Year's Eve brings a big beach party on Loh Dalum with fireworks.
