Tonsai village and Loh Dalum

The isthmus is the most practical place to stay: the pier, restaurants, shops, dive centres and tours are all within a few minutes' walk. The trade-off is noise, especially within a few hundred metres of the Loh Dalum bars. Look for places at the edges of the village, along the eastern end of Tonsai Bay (Hin Khom) or up the hill towards the Viewpoint.

Long Beach

A short boat ride from the village, Long Beach combines one of the best beaches on the island with peaceful nights. Shared longtails run to Tonsai until early evening; after that, you rely on a private boat or the coastal path.

The north: Laem Tong and Loh Bagao

The north of Phi Phi Don is where the big resorts are: pools, spas, kids' clubs and wide quiet beaches. You will eat mostly at your resort and take boats for excursions. Ideal for families, honeymooners and anyone who wants to switch off.
